I was born in London, Ontario, where I developed an appreciation for music and the natural world. My woodworking career started when I ventured east and attended the New Brunswick Craft School in Fredericton and majored in wood and musical instruments.  Having designed and built a Flemish harpsichord for my diploma show, I eventually found employment at Brunzema Organs in Fergus, Ontario where I was to further refine my skills working on tracker organs.  

This was followed by several years of victorian and architectural ornament and custom work of furniture, wood turning and movie sets.  By the early 90's I had also developed a small craft business, where I produced some multiple run and one-of-a kind giftware.  

I moved to St. Andrews in 1996 and focussed my energies on developing and making Shaker cherry boxes and lap desks at Chickadee Woodworking.  I then established my own small shop to begin AbraXas and build custom harpsichords, clavichords, and other fine wood products.
